How To Find Updates Proxies and Use It

Proxies are a useful tool in any internet marketer's toolbox. Proxies allow Craigslist marketers to rotate their IP address so they can post more ads. Youtube marketers can use proxies with software that helps increase views to their videos. Any situation where you need to hide your true location online will benefit from having a good list of proxies. Not all proxies are created equal though. You can find a lot of proxy lists on the net, but many of them are slow or just plain don't work. In this hub, I'll show you how to find a daily list of proxies for your use.
The program we're going to use is called Proxy Firewall. It is a completely free download and available for Windows only. We will use Proxy firewall to accomplish a couple of things. First, we can import our list of proxies into it and we can use it to filter out all the unworking proxies. Second, Proxy Firewall will actually detect when any of your programs access the internet. It will then give you three choices:
1) Allow the program to connect to the internet as normal
2) Restrict the program from accessing the internet
3) Allow the program to connect to the internet via a proxy server.
So go ahead and download Proxy Firewall and run the installer. Once you have the program running on your system, I will show you where to find free, fresh proxy lists.

Finding Proxies

There are many places to find free proxies on the internet. One of my favorite sites is ProxyFire.net, where you can get fresh daily proxies everyday. So go ahead and visit the site and register for a free account. Once you've done that, sign in with your account and visit the Forum page. Underneath the Free Public Proxy Lists section, you should see the Socks Proxies forum. Inside this forum, you'll see various threads, usually with the date in the title. In each thread, you'll usually see a long list of proxy servers in the form:
65.88.237.32:1080
68.205.178.70:30409
61.236.128.118:1080
207.255.129.218:5403
69.47.12.252:6471
So all you need to do is open up your favorite text editor, check out each of threads that were created today, and copy and paste them into your text editor. If you want more proxies you can check out other similar sites. Another site I'd recommend is Proxyworld.org. After you've completed this process, you should have a huge list of proxies which you'll need to check. Remember to save the list as a text file.

Checking Your Proxies

Now is the time to go back to Proxy Firewall, so open it up and go to the Open Proxies tab. Click the Add Proxies button and a dialog box should open up. In the dialog, click the Import button and choose your proxy list text file that you created above. Then click on Check Proxies and another dialog will pop up. Here, just accept the default options and click the Run Proxy Check button. Once its done checking the proxies, hit OK and all the good proxies will appear on the table. If you're only interested in US proxies for example, you can further filter out this list by deleting proxies from other countries.

Using Your Proxies

Making use of your proxies is pretty straightforward. One setup I like to use it to use Firefox for my normal browsing, and to use Internet Explorer to surf using a proxy server. To set that up, make sure Proxy Firewall is open again and go to the Rules tab. Next click on the Add Programs button and a dialog will pop up. Click the Browse button and navigate to where your Internet Explorer executable is. Select the Use Proxy Server radio button and then click the Click here to select a proxy server... button. Choose Open Proxies > Socks Proxies and you should see a list of all the good proxies you've found. All you need to do is select one and you should be good to go. Whenever you use Internet Explorer, it will connect using the selected proxies. You can also play around with the options and do things like rotate proxies, etc, but that's up to you. To check that everything is working you can open up a site like whatismyip.com in Firefox and IE and and se that your connected using two different ip addresses. Keep in mind that even after checking, you'll notice that some proxies are faster than others. If you find one that's too slow, then just pick another.
There are some programs, like Bookmarking Demon for example that can accept proxy lists to help them perform their function. From Proxy Firewall, all you need to do is export your good proxies to another text file which you can then import into the program directly.

Free Elite Proxies

Unlike other types of proxies, Elite Proxies are highly anonymous as they do not even show the fact that you are using a proxy. Below is a site I found that has a continuously updated list of elite proxies.

1. Visit http://www.ip-adress.com/Proxy_Checker/
2. You will see a list of 5 proxies for random countries
3. Refresh the list until you see the proxy for the country you want
4. Click Check It to make sure the proxy is still working
5. If it is, use it!
